Barcelona Maritime Museum (Drassanes Reials)
Visit one of the best-preserved Gothic buildings in the world, and one of the largest collections on seafaring history and culture in the Mediterranean.
Barcelona Maritime Museum holds exhibitions on Catalan seafaring history and culture. It opened its doors to the public in 1941 and houses one of the largest collections in the Mediterranean. In 2006 it was declared a Museum of National Interest.
It is located in the Drassanes Reials (Royal Shipyards), some of the best-preserved Gothic civil architecture in the world. Built in medieval times, their original appearance has almost been retained in its entirety.
The historic packet boat Santa Eulàlia is moored at the Moll Bosch i Alsina where it is open to the public every day, except when it is sailing the seven seas as an ambassador for the museum.
